Offshore fishing boats for Florida waters
Offshore fishing asks more of a boat than a day on the bay. Out of Tampa, Ponce Inlet or Key Largo, you want a deep-V hull that stays composed in a chop, enough fuel for the run out and back with a margin, and power you can trust when the shore is out of sight. Many offshore anglers look at center consoles from the mid-20s up, often with twin outboards, a T-top for shade and a livewell. The boats below include Sea Hunt Gamefish and the larger Ultras, Scout LXF and LXS models, and Wellcraft Explorers. Filter by length, power and store, then ask our team to walk you through the differences. We'll match the boat to where you launch, where you fish and who comes along.

Offshore, answered
Questions offshore anglers ask.
Still deciding? Tell us where you launch, how far you run and who comes along.
What size boat do I need to fish offshore in Florida?
Many anglers start around 25 feet for day trips to nearshore reefs and wrecks, then move to 27 feet and up for longer runs, rougher days or more passengers. Size is one part of it. Hull design, power, fuel range and the weather window decide how far you can go safely. Tell our team where you fish and we'll suggest a short list.
Should I choose a single or twin outboard for offshore fishing?
Twins add range, better handling around docks and a second engine to bring you home if one fails. A single is lighter and costs less to run, and it can suit trips that stay close to port. For long runs far from help, many offshore anglers prefer twins. Choose by your farthest planned trip, not your average one.
How much fuel capacity do I need?
A common rule of thumb is one third of your fuel to go out, one third to come back and one third in reserve. Add more for trolling or idling at the spot. Sea Hunt lists fuel capacity on each model page. For example, the Ultra 265 SE is listed at 145 gallons and the Ultra 255 SE at 120 gallons.
What is the difference between a Sea Hunt Gamefish and an Ultra for offshore fishing?
Gamefish is Sea Hunt's offshore-first series, built around fishing layouts and, on many models, twin or triple outboards. Ultra is the all-rounder for family days and fishing, and the larger Ultras, 26 feet and up, can work offshore too. Compare both in person at Ultimate Marine and our team will explain the layout differences.
Can I trailer an offshore center console, or do I need a slip?
Many boats into the high 20s can be trailered, which lets you launch where the weather and ramps suit you. Larger boats are easier to keep on a lift, in a slip or in dry storage. Check the listed dry weight and beam against your tow vehicle and trailer. Our team can walk through trailer, delivery and storage options.
